Scotland becomes the first nation in the world to provide free sanitary products to all women. On Tuesday, Scotland parliament has agreed to make sanitary products freely accessible to all women in the country.

Scotland is part of the United Kingdom. According to Reuters reports, pads and tampons are taxed about 5 percent.

The sanitary products will be available at designated public places such as Youth Clubs, Pharmacies, and Community centers. It's expected to cost about 24 -30 million pounds.

112 legislators voted in favor of pads and tampons freely available to the people who need them at public places and 1 abstainer.
In 2018, Scotland also becomes the first country to supply free sanitary products to students of school, Colleges, and Universities. Which cost about five million Pounds.
